DESCRIPTION :
Karmand – 337 MCRO is a compound with high pH buffered cleaner to remove biological fouling, organic and inorganic particles such as silt, silica, clay, polymer, oils and colloid. This liquid is applied to systems operating on sea water, brackish water and waste water and compatible with almost all this film composite RO membranes.

HOW TO USE
1. The cleaning solution should be prepared using demin water/permeate water that is free chlorine and other oxidizing agents. Add K.337 MCRO to create 4% - 8% wt/wt solution if the fouling is moderate to severe, or 4% wt/wt solution if the fouling is mild. Recirculate the solution through the cleaning tank to ensure adequate mixing. Heat the solution to the maximum acceptable temperature (< 45OC) or according to the membrane manufacture’s guidelines.
2. Run the cleaning solution through each RO system stage, one at a time for a minimum of 60 minutes at the flow rate or recommended by the membrane manufacture.
3. If membranes are heavy fouled and recirculated cleaning solution becomes discolored or turbid, discard as much as 15% of solution volume. Heavily fouled elements may also benefit from a soaking period (up to 8 hours)
4. Monitor the pH solution(±pH=11) during the cleaning process. If pH remain the desired range and the solution is not turbid, it may be used to clean subsequent stages
5. When cleaning is complete, rinse the membranes by flushing RO permeate through each pressure vessel. The system can then be returned to service.
